Exchange with the MA programme at the University of Sofia

A group of students and trainers from Sofia visited Thessaloniki and trained together with our students on 5-7 May 2014. Later, on 2-4 June 2014, our students visited Sofia for joint training. Both visits included a mock conference on the final day.

The visit of Mr Benedetti in November 2013 was the occasion for an event open to students, faculty members and the public, introducing conference interpreting, our own MA programme and career opportunities in interpreting in Greece and Europe. The event was well attended and provoked considerable student interest. It also contributed significantly to a better understanding of conference interpreting among the university colleagues.
